One of the most common questions we receive at Clinical Skills Institute is about accreditation.
At Clinical Skills Institute, we are committed to providing high-quality training programs that prepare students for successful careers in the healthcare industry. While we continue to expand our accreditation efforts, our programs are designed to meet national certification standards, ensuring that graduates can earn recognized credentials and secure employment in their chosen fields.
In this post, we’ll break down our accreditation status, our partnerships with accredited certification agencies, and what that means for our students.
Understanding Institutional vs. Programmatic Accreditation
Accreditation can be categorized into two types:
• Institutional Accreditation – This applies to an entire school, verifying that it meets general standards of quality and integrity.
• Programmatic Accreditation – This focuses on specific programs or courses, ensuring they meet industry-specific educational and training standards.
Clinical Skills Institute’s Accreditation Status
Institutional Accreditation
At this time, Clinical Skills Institute does not hold institutional accreditation. However, we are in the process of pursuing accreditation through a recognized Department of Education-approved agency.
Despite this, our partnership with nationally recognized certification agencies allows our students to earn industry-recognized credentials upon successfully passing their certification exams and completing clinical requirements.
Our graduates go on to secure full-time positions as:
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistants (CCMA)
• Medical Administrative Assistants
• Medical Billing and Coding Specialist
Programmatic Accreditation
Clinical Medical Assistant Program
Our Clinical Medical Assistant Program is not currently accredited, but it is affiliated with the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). This allows students to sit for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam, which is recognized in 48 out of 50 U.S. states.
Medical Billing and Coding
Our Medical Billing and Coding is not not currently accredited, but it is affiliated with the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Students can take the Certified Billing & Coding Specialist exam, a widely accepted credential in 48 of 50 states.
